Es war ein Kampf IM SAMISAHI gegen SC Turm. SAMISAHI hatte im vorangegangenen BULLET TEAMKAMPF 60 seiner 61 Spiele gewonnen, sagenhafte 233 Punkte erkämpft, 113 mehr als der Zweitplatzierte. Auch diesmal sah es nach einem Durchmarsch des afghanischen IM aus. Auf den Fersen seines Teams namens AFGHANISTAN CHESS NETWORK war von Anfang an der SC Turm. Um 21:55 Uhr lagen beide Teams mit 213 Punkten gleichauf, dann zog der SC Turm vorbei. Die 3 Turm-Musketiere vermasselten IM SAMISAHI einen erneuten Triumphzug: Thomas gewann eine seiner 5 Partien gegen Samisahi, Hans und Chikwere schafften jeweils ein Remis. CM GDMONSTER war einem Sieg gegen den Dominator ganz nahe: Im Endspiel hatte er einen Turm und 3 Bauern mehr, doch Chikwere ließ sich übertölpeln…

Die 3 erstplatzierten Teams schickten jeweils 14 Spieler ins Rennen, COLEGAS DE KIKE, das spanische Team auf Platz 4, hatte 23. Alle Fighter des SC Turm, die zum Sensationssieg beitrugen, haben eine Erwähnung verdient: DARYL MUSASHI, AAVINW, RAINER_ZUFALL, CORNELL-CHESS, SCHADOUP, SERCANBEDEL, KORMI88, DER_TERMINATOR, THEONLYANDJUAN.

Rechts Jan Jeschke, saarländischer Spitzenspieler der U20. Im Feld der 267 Spieler erkämpfte Jan Platz 4, Chikwere Platz 5. Einen Platz dahinter schon Hans Barmbold. Last but not least Thomas Biehler mit Platz 10. Ein Quartett des SC Turm unter den TOP10 – bemerkenswert!
